How RepairDock works

One system, two very different experiences — a full CRM for the shop, and a zero-friction status page for the customer.

For Shop Owners

RepairDock replaces the notebook, the sticky notes, and the "let me check and call you back." Everything about a repair job — the customer, the device, the price, the parts used, and the conversation — lives in one place.

1. Add the customer

Every job is tied to a searchable customer profile — lifetime spend, visit count, and full device history in one place.

2. Open a repair job

Log the device, the issue, pricing, and — if needed — the PIN or unlock pattern on a real dot grid or keypad instead of a paper scribble.

3. Hand over a QR ticket

Print or share a pickup token. The QR code is the customer's live tracking link — no app, no account for them to set up.

4. Track parts & profit

Pull parts from Inventory as you work the job. Reports turns final price minus parts cost into real profit numbers, not guesses.

5. Update & chat

Change the job status and the customer sees it instantly on their tracking page. Inbox shows you every conversation waiting on a reply.

6. Grow the team

Add technicians and managers with their own logins under Staff. Managers additionally see Reports; technicians handle day-to-day jobs.

A few more things worth knowing
  • Public Directory — your shop can appear in the customer-facing shop directory once active, where customers can find you and leave reviews.
  • Discover (Pro) — a cross-shop knowledge base of "here's the issue, here's how it was fixed." Only the device, issue, and fix are ever shared — never a customer's name, phone, or device lock.
  • DeviceArena — a built-in device spec catalog you can reference while diagnosing a job, without leaving the site.
  • Data Takeout — request a full export of your shop's data any time; the admin team reviews and emails it to you.
  • Everything is free to start — premium unlocks extras like Discover, without changing how the core CRM works.

For Customers

You don't need to download anything, create an account, or remember a password to check on your repair. Your receipt already has everything you need.

1. Drop off your device

The shop opens a job for you and hands you a printed receipt with a ticket code and QR code.

2. Scan or enter your code

Scan the QR code, or go to the tracking page and enter your ticket code plus the last 4 digits of your phone number to confirm it's you.

3. See live status

A timeline shows exactly where your repair stands — received, in progress, completed, ready for pickup — updated the moment the shop changes it.

4. Chat with the shop

Ask a question about your job right from the tracking page — no phone tag, no separate app.

What about the shop directory & reviews?

Tracking a repair never requires an account. But if you'd like to browse shops, leave a review, or message a shop directly outside of a specific job, you can optionally sign in with a customer account — separate from the ticket tracking above.

Curious what a shop generally charges to fix something, or how a common issue is usually resolved? Shops can also publish anonymized fix write-ups — no personal information is ever included in those.
